A Flight Over Black Iron
The signs of an industrial past are train bridges lifted up into the air permanently. These can be found in Cleveland, Ashtabula, and Buffalo. This one is located just east of Buffalo and has rumored to be lifted into place since the early 1970's. Once the subject of a Charles Burchfield painting, it now serves as a marker in the horizon of Buffalo. If you can see this bridge then you know exactly where the Buffalo River is located.
